The members of the Cloud Operations Engineer TalentCloud are expected to participate in the operations and deployment of the cloud infrastructure as per the business needs. The experts should be highly skilled and operate on a very high level of technical knowledge. Other tasks, abilities, and expectations include:
- They should be able to focus on the availability, reliability, and sustainability of the cloud platform
- The engineers should have a good understanding of the cloud infrastructure components
- Technical specialist with a strong work ethic, creative, collaborative, team player
- A strong background in Cloud and/or demonstrative hosting-specific technical skills:
- Computing and networking
- Storage and content delivery

- Deployment and management

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate and support cloud environments
- Respond to customer support requests via tickets and phone calls within response time SLAs
- Ticket queue management and ticket triaging (escalating to senior engineers when required)
- Troubleshoot performance degradation or loss of service as time-critical incidents
- Assist customers in the configuration of backup, patching, and monitoring of servers and services
- Build customer solutions, leveraging automation and delivery mechanisms for efficiency and scalability
- Ownership of issues, including collaboration with other teams and escalation
- Support the success and development of others in the team
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of Cloud products/services, relational and NoSQL databases, caching, object and block storage, scaling, load balancing, CDNs, networking, etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems
- Experience in supporting and troubleshooting issues and performance
- Intermediate understanding of central networking concepts: VLANs, layer 2/3 routing, access lists load balancing
- Good understanding of the design of native Cloud applications, Cloud application design patterns, and practices
Nice-to-Have Skills
- At least one Cloud certification
- Strong communications skills, written and verbal
