  1. Patient Care Assistance:

    • Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly monitor and record patients’ vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
    • Patient Comfort: Ensure patient comfort by repositioning bedridden patients, providing fresh linens, and assisting with personal hygiene.
  2. Medication Administration:
    • Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications, including oral, topical, and injectable forms, under the supervision of an RN or physician.
    • Documentation: Accurately document medication administration and any observed effects or adverse reactions.
    • Patient Education: Provide basic education to patients about their medications and the importance of adherence to their medication regimen.
  3. Clinical Procedures:
    • Wound Care: Perform basic wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection.
    • Catheterization: Assist with catheterization and monitor catheter output and any potential complications.
    • Specimen Collection: Collect samples for laboratory tests, such as blood, urine, and sputum, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
  4. Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Health Monitoring: Observe patients’ conditions and report any significant changes or concerns to the supervising RN or physician.
    • Incident Reporting: Document and report any incidents, such as falls, injuries, or adverse reactions, following the facility’s protocols.
    • Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including care plans, treatment notes, and medication logs.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Teamwork: Work closely with RNs, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
    • Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, offering reassurance and answering basic questions about care and treatment.

Qualifications:
