The Product Managers in this TalentCloud should be able to gather requirements and turn them into Agile stories to drive product/solution development. Additionally, the TalentCloud members are expected to work with all stakeholders and take responsibility for the overall delivery of a successful IoT solution and implementation. Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for product/application/service management of IoT solution
- Detailed understanding of all components of IoT project
- Work with customers/stakeholders to define requirements
- Defines product attributes for all parts of the solution
- Turn requirements in form of Agile Epics and stories
- Work with customers and sales/marketing through the deployment
- Participate in SCRUM meetings
Required Skills
- Experienced product managers with 4+ years experience with the combined smart device and web/mobile applications
- Ability to understand IoT in all its business and implementation angles and quickly learn relevant aspects of the IoT product, solution, supplier, and technology spaces
- Understand the 4 core IoT components: devices, connectivity, IoT platforms, and applications
- Work with stakeholders to create a set of market requirements
- High-level Agile Epics
- Create use cases for IoT solutions for all persons that will use them and turn them into requirements
- Create market requirement for IoT solution and translate these into requirements for the 4 core IoT components
- Work with Solution Architect to turn market requirements into an implementable IoT architecture
- Create Epics and Stories associated with the IoT solution
- Manage implementation through SCRUM and release cycles
- Work with early customers through alpha and beta testing
- Work with all stakeholders bringing the IoT solution to timely success in the marketplace
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years of product management experience of a connected product (hardware and web/mobile application)
- Experience in cloud computing platforms (AWS or Azure or Google or Oracle)
- Experience in web development using Software Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Knowledge of IoT either as a product manager or as a user
- Understanding of connected communication protocols (WAN, LAN, Cellular, BLE)
- Proven understanding of appropriate industry verticals
- Practical experience in a vertical industry
- Experience in product management tools (such as Monday)
- Undergraduate degree in EE or application/device-oriented Computer Science
- Business degree (Marketing or an MBA underway)
- SCRUM training or certification
