Develop Revenue Forecasting Model for Attractions Company

Project Description

Our company is in the family entertainment industry, with multiple attractions in 10 countries. For this market intelligence project, I would like the expert to build an econometric model to accurately forecast revenues in our businesses.  In this first phase of the project, we will focus on Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  We may look to other locations if the project results in reliable results.

Variables in the model could include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Overnight visitation
2. Weather (temperature and precipitation)
3. Gasoline prices
4. Economy 
5. Ticket prices
6. Amount ot capital reinvestment to keep the business current
7. Number of competing attractions in the market
8. Seasonality of the business (how much business occurs between Memorial Day and Labor Day)
9. Whether the business has a prominent storefront or facade
10. Whether the lobby is open to the street.

The model may suggest that some of these are not correlated to revenue, and would therefore be excluded.  You may also have some suggestions on additioanl variables.

Your proposal should include what data you will require from the company, and what data you can source independently.  Please list your sources.  Your proposal should also include your methodology and sources of external data that you would use to carryout this research.
